Headrest Certification – Test Standard GB11550-2009 Abolished

The test standard GB11550-2009 has been officially abolished as of May 28, 2024, and replaced by GB15083-2019.

According to the Announcement No. 11, 2024, of the People’s Republic of China National Standard, the test standard GB11550-2009 has been officially abolished as of May 28, 2024, and replaced by GB15083-2019, as the requirements outlined in GB11550-2009 are included within GB15083-2019.

Headrests will still belong to the CCC category, but will now be tested according to GB15083-2019.

Current certificates can naturally transition through updates or renewals within their validity period. Afterward, new certificates will be issued based on GB15083-2019. Future new headrest certifications will also be tested based on GB15083-2019; new certificates will be issued with GB15083-2019.
