What is CQC certification?
The CQC (China Quality Certification Center) is responsible for both mandatory (CCC) and voluntary (CQC) certifications.
CQC certification (voluntary CQC mark certification) is for imported and domestic products that are not subject to mandatory CCC certification and follows a process similar to “traditional” CCC certification and also takes around three to four months. After passing the factory audit and completion of laboratory testing, the CQC certificate is granted. In addition, the certificate number is entered into the customs authority’s database, confirming that the imported goods comply with CCC requirements.
Initial audit and follow-up audit
Also after you receive a CAV, CQC, or CCAP certificate and successfully export to China, your facility will continue to be inspected on a regular basis. The follow-up audit is conducted annually by local organizations on behalf of the Chinese authorities. The procedure is similar to that of the initial audit. The follow-up audit is a prerequisite for maintaining the certificates.
What is CCAP certification?
Automotive products that are not subject to mandatory CCC certification can also be voluntarily certified by the CCAP (China Certification Centre for Automotive Products).
The validity of the CCAP certificate can only be maintained through an annual follow-up inspection.

What is VSCC certification?
Exports to Taiwan (People’s Republic of China) are also subject to certain certification regulations. The Vehicle Safety Certification Center (VSCC) in Lukang is the authority responsible.
Both vehicle type approvals and certifications for individual components subject to approval can be applied for at the VSCC. The CCC certification process for the Chinese market and the Taiwan Certification process are largely similar in their basic structure; however, Taiwan Certification is less time-consuming and more cost-effective.

Certification of environmentally friendly products
Certification of environmentally friendly products is a voluntary product certification carried out by the CQC. Affixing the “China Environmental Product Certification” mark confirms that the product meets the relevant environmental requirements.
The scope of certification covers environmentally friendly products such as environmental protection equipment, certain types of furniture, building materials, and light industrial goods.
The aim of certification is to improve living and environmental conditions by promoting the production and use of environmentally friendly products, to support a positive cycle of the natural environment, and to promote sustainable economic and social development.
