On December 30, 2022, the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) introduced updated rules for the certification of automobile seats and head restraints. The new implementation rules, CQC16-491261-2022, supersede the previous CQC16-491261-2018 and took effect on January 1, 2023.
In Announcement No. 12/2022, published on August 31, 2022, the Chinese authorities (State Administration for Market Regulation in conjunction with Standardization Administration of China) approved and issued 3 compulsory GBs (National Standard of the People’s Republic of China): GB16897-2022, GB19239-2022, and GB41847-2022.

Based on CNCA Announcement No. 44 [2019] from Oct. 17, 2019, the following 18 products are no longer in the CCC catalog; current CCC certificates will be deleted soon by the CCC bureau.
In CNCA Announcement No. 11/2018, published on June 15, 2018, the Chinese authorities defined important changes in the area of CCC certification on June 11, 2018.
Announcement on Implementation Rules for Compulsory Certification of Motor Vehicles and Safety Accessories
With the “CNCA-Announcement No. 31/ 2014” the following CCC implementation rules were published. These were then effective from the 1st January 2015 and replace the existing implementation rules. For all new products included in the rules there therefore now exists a certificate obligation from the 1st January 2016 pertaining to their export to China.

Since March 20, 2018 the “Printing Permission” is no longer required.
After double-check with CNCA (the supervisory authority of certification companies) it is confirmed that CCAP and CQC will no more issue the so-called Printing Permission.
